Package Add-On’s
At Leading Edge Rugby League Academy, we are focused on delivering a coaching package that fulfils the requirements and expectations of your club. This is why we have made all our ‘Coach the Coaches’ packages customisable. Select your preferred package and utilise the add-ons to build a package that best suits the needs of your club.
Below is a comprehensive list of LERLA package add-on’s that can be selected as an extension to your program.
Additional club visit
Our packages specify one, two or three club visits for delivery of the LERLA training templates. Your club can opt to add an additional club visit with Head Coach Tim Browne. The additional club visit can be comprised of program sessions (coach the coaches) to give your coaches further training and development or specialised coaching sessions with your club players. .
Additional program session (coach the coaches)
Your club can opt to add on additional program sessions with LERLA Head Coach Tim Browne. The program sessions are reserved for delivering our Coach the Coaches templates and training. Should your club wish to include coaches/age groups outside the scope of the desired package, additional program sessions can be added to fulfil the requirements of your club. .
ADDITIONAL COACHING SESSION (players)
Your club can opt to add on additional coaching sessions with LERLA Head Coach, Tim Browne. The coaching session will involve Tim completing 1 hour skills clinics with selected age groups within the club. Coaches of the selected age groups can consult with Tim prior to the session, to request specific technical playing skills or game structures as the focus of the sessions. .
Rep Prep Session
The ‘Rep Prep’ sessions are designed to provide players currently playing representative football, or players seeking representative team selection, the support and technical skills to compete at this level. The purpose of these sessions is to assist players with obtaining and retaining their position in representative football by refining and building on the skills expected at this level of rugby league. .
Div 1 Ready Session
The ‘Div 1 ready’ sessions are intended to advance the skills of current Division 2 players who are seeking to gain a position in their respective age group Division 1 team. The purpose of these sessions is to aid and develop the skills required of players at a Division 1 team level..
Co-Coach Session
The co-coach sessions focus on educating coaches on the attacking and defensive structures of the game and assisting with the formulation of these structures for the individual teams. The benefit of formulating playing structures across teams and age groups is to create a streamlined approach to player allocation. .
Goal Kicking Session
The goal kicking sessions are intended to refine the skills of rigour and accuracy that is required of goal kicking players. The goal kicking sessions are reserved for age groups U10’s + only..
Halves Session
The halves sessions focus on the education and skill development that is expected of players performing in key positions; halfback, five-eighth and fullback. The halves sessions are reserved to players from each team U13’s + only. .
INDEPENDENT TEAM GRADING
Clubs have the opportunity to engage LERLA to carry out Team Grading in your club. All players of selected age groups are assessed independently and division teams are formed based on impartial judgement..
Review + Preview Session
A Review + Preview session is where LERLA Head Coach Tim Browne assesses video footage of team games and provides feedback to assist both players and coaches. The Review + Preview sessions are an effective source of visual assessment and focuses on both player and coach education. U13’s + only. .
Supervised Coaching Sessions
Head Coach Tim Browne will attend your scheduled club training evening and oversee your club coaches during their training sessions. The purpose of these sessions is to provide constructive feedback to coaches and further develop coaching standards. This is a great opportunity for club coaches to ask questions and seek guidance for their teams. Each team will have a 15 minute slot with Tim. We ask that the club coaching coordinator is present for these sessions.
