“Changing the way Rugby League is prescribed”
—Tim Browne
Program Overview
The ‘Coach the Coaches’ program is designed to provide club coaches with adequate training and development to be able to confidently coach the game of Rugby League. The successful integration of the ‘Coach the Coaches’ Program into your club aims to evolve a consistently high standard of coaching and player capabilities across all playing groups.
The program will be delivered to club coaches via face-to-face training sessions with Tim Browne and externally supported through an online platform (Facebook) where coaches can access training templates and support from the LERLA team for the duration of the season.
In addition to coach development, our silver, gold and platinum packages include specialised sessions specific to the development of key playing skills.

I was first introduced to LERLA when I signed my son up to participate in Tim’s holiday clinics. Despite these holiday clinics being postponed due to the 2022 Sydney floods, and Tim and I having only communicated via email to this point, it’s hard to believe that 18 months later we would together be releasing the LERLA ‘Coach the Coaches program.’ .
Having seen Tim’s incredible work on social media, I knew the players in my local Club, The Queanbeyan Blues JRLFC would benefit greatly from Tim’s training and knowledge, and Tim was eager to bring LERLA to the ACT region. Together, we successfully coordinated two club visits where Tim covered U6’s through to representative player age groups at the Queanbeyan Blues. .
Through many conversations and a breakfast meeting later, we both quickly realised we share the same passion and energy for quality training and coaching in rugby league football clubs and the wheels were set in motion for the ‘Coach the Coaches’ program. Over a 6 month period we worked tirelessly to bring together a program that aims to streamline coaching knowledge and player capabilities across junior rugby league. .
Myself and Tim set out to trial the program with the Queanbeyan Blues JRLFC and the Narromine Jets JRLFC in the 2023 season. The program trial was a success and the positive feedback indicated we needed to make the ‘Coach the Coaches’ program a permanent fixture provided by LERLA from 2024 onwards. .
The program brings together our shared passion and energy for rugby league, Tim’s coaching and professional level experience and my junior club development experience. Together these attributes are a complimentary recipe to changing the way rugby league is prescribed in junior clubs..
