Club Program

In most cases, parents are thrown the job of coaching their child’s team as there is no qualified or Rugby League minded coach available.

We have a number of different packages available to help both the players and coaches involved. Our Leading Edge team will provide support for your team throughout the Rugby League season. We want all players to have equal opportunity to grow and become the best players and individuals they can possibly be and most importantly, enjoy what they do!

Programs can be modified to run as long as your team/club requires.

Club Gala Day

Club Gala days are about the entire community coming together on the same day. Either to kick the season off or as a celebration at the end of the year, our Club Gala days are a fantastic event for all age groups to take part in a Leading Edge class and for the Club to provide the ultimate experience to their members.

45minute classes for U/6-U/12’s

1hour classes for U/13s+

Advanced Classes

Leading Edge provides advanced programs for a selected group of individuals hand picked by the Club. The aim of this program is to bridge the skill level gap between Club and Rep level football by helping to up-skill and prepare these players for whats required at the next level.

The Club basically puts together their own “in house” rep program for those players excelling and looking to take their game to the next level.

Ages: U/13s+

This program doesn’t involve LERLA taking over coaching methods that already exist from other coaches eg. structure’s and systems. LERLA will be focusing on advanced individual skills and game situation scenarios, to allow players to identify opportunities when they arise. This level of game IQ and skills will be a requirement at the next level if a player was successful on selection at the end of the season for an NRL affiliated program.

Club Mentors

Take your club/team to the next level by contracting one of our specialist coaches for the entire season. LERLA will come in and take full control of the team/teams by laying out all the game-day structures and systems, team values and expectations for the upcoming season.

LERLA will run your teams X2 sessions of training per week for the entire season. Then, its up to the coach to select the team week in week out and coach on game-days.

Example: in 2022, LERLA is the Club Mentors for the Penrith Brothers Club. LERLA represents the:

U/15’s Division-1 side, U/16’s Division-1 side, U/18’s Division-1 side, U/20’s Division-1 side and the Sydney Shield.

Football Education Classes

Online football education classes are provided to all players apart of Club Mentor programs and Advanced Classes.

LERLA’s Rugby League online education sessions consist of Tim Browne or Jake Foster working through various game situation scenarios and drilling into both team and positional KPI’s. Attached to LERLA’s online coaching classes, players will be required to complete weekly online Quiz’s to show that they are listening and understanding the content provided.

Review & Preview

LERLA provides video review & preview sessions for your team! Video review is one of the most effective sources of feedback as it allows players to perform a self assessment via visual feedback.

Tim Browne & Jake Foster will provide online aid and LIVE workshops to help assist your team throughout the season.

All we need from you is for a parent to film either the entire or sections of the game with your iPhone. Easy!

Age: U/13s+

Club President - Steve Allen

“I just wanted to give you and your LERLA program a massive thank you for everything you did assisting our club this year. From our very first meeting late last season I was extremely impressed by your professionalism, positivity, your knowledge of coaching rugby league and your willingness to share that knowledge with not just our players but coaches and trainers also. Your ability to make training sessions informative and fun and keep our kids engaged for a whole training session was amazing to see and your passion for Rugby League and particularly coaching is extremely evident. Your work with our senior sides has also been amazing and is importantly really evident on game days.

I believe it is the Coach’s job to ensure the players have a great experience, and you bring it in spades. I am really looking forward to having yourself and LERLA on board again next season to increase our members education and experience around playing Rugby League.

On a personal note, I’d like to say thank you for taking over coaching our U/17’s this year due to my own personal circumstances. You could always tell by the smile on the faces of the players and parents that footy was just a little bit different this season due to the energy and enthusiasm that you always brought. And to see the improvement as individuals and as a team was something to behold. If the mark of a good coach is how many players return to play next season, then job well done. As the boys have not stopped talking about this and probably won’t for years to come”
