Gold Package
The gold program package is developed to educate and support both club coaches and players across all age groups. The program is formulated to equip club coaches with a greater understanding of how to teach both the introductory playing skills through to higher level playing techniques of rugby league.
For the duration of the playing season, club coaches will be externally supported through an online platform (Facebook) where coaches can access training templates, playing structures and supported information and assistance from the LERLA team.
Additionally, the program focuses on providing technique refining and development to playing groups. Our LERLA specialised player sessions are designed for players seeking Division 1 allocation, representative ready players and team goal kickers who wish to take their game to the next level.
HOw this will work
Coach development sessions
The gold program will be delivered via 2 x face-to-face coach development sessions with Tim Browne across junior or intermod age groups. Relevant age group coaches and a limited number of club players will be required to attend these sessions.
The face-to-face coach development sessions will give coaches the opportunity to gain hands-on experience teaching the LERLA created training models to club players.
These training models will consist of drills that coaches can implement into their weekly training sessions. The drills are designed to develop player skills consistent with the modern game of Rugby League and will progress through the age groups to create consistent player capabilities across the playing groups.

Gold Package inclusions:
Focus age groups for the program (Junior U6’s to U10’s or Intermods - U11’s to U18’s) .
Coach access to the online platform .
Across 2 x club visits during the season, the following will be delivered;.
2 x coach development sessions.
2 x Rep Prep player sessions.
2 x Div 1 Ready player sessions.
2 x LERLA Goal kicking session for 3 players from each team (U13’s + only).
LERLA GOld Package Key:
Rep Prep Session
The representative player sessions are designed to provide players currently playing representative football, or players seeking representative team selection, the support and technical skills to compete at this level. The purpose of these sessions is to assist players with obtaining and retaining their position in representative football by refining and building on the skills expected at this level of rugby league. .
Div 1 Ready Session
The div 1 ready sessions are intended to advance the skills of current Division 2 players who are seeking to gain a position in their respective age group Division 1 team. The purpose of these sessions is to aid and develop the skills required of players at a Division 1 team level..
Goal Kicking Session
The goal kicking sessions are intended to refine the skills of rigour and accuracy that is required of goal kicking players. The goal kicking sessions are reserved to 3 players from each team U10’s + only and clubs have the opportunity to have different players attend each session. .
